Oman Air Strengthens Focus on Guest Experience, Announces Recruitment Drive for New Chief-Level Role

Muscat, Oman, 13 September 2026: Oman Air has announced the recruitment of its first-ever Chief Guest Experience Officer (CGXO), reinforcing the airline’s commitment to delivering a more seamless, personalized and smart experience across every stage of the guest journey. The Chief Guest Experience Officer will lead the airline’s guest experience strategy, driving enhancements across products, services and touchpoints, from booking and airport services to onboard meals and loyalty, while championing a culture of customer-centricity throughout the business.

The appointment comes as Oman Air continues its transformation journey and follows the recent appointment of Chief Executive Officer, Nasser Al Sharji, who has outlined a clear vision focused on strengthening operational excellence, commercial performance and guest satisfaction.

Nasser Al Sharji, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Air, said, “Delivering exceptional travel experiences has always been at the heart of Oman Air’s identity and reflects our role as ambassadors of Oman to the world. Over the past several years, we have made significant progress in transforming the business and building a stronger foundation for the future. As we enter our next phase of growth, we are renewing our focus on what matters most: our guests. The recruitment of a Chief Guest Experience Officer reflects our commitment to anticipating the evolving needs and expectations of today’s travellers, ensuring we continue to innovate, adapt and deliver an experience that is both distinctly Omani and internationally competitive.”

Oman Air has recently announced a series of investments aimed at further enhancing its customer proposition, including upgrades to cabin interiors, onboard dining, digital services and its loyalty programme, set to be rolled out in various stages over the coming years. The Chief Guest Experience Officer will play a pivotal role in ensuring these initiatives are aligned under a single guest-centric vision and translated into meaningful improvements across the end-to-end journey.

The role will also be responsible for leveraging guest feedback, operational insights and data-driven decision-making to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, while preserving the authentic Omani hospitality that has long differentiated the airline.
