Under-14 team heads to Delhi NCR for the CBSE National Football Championship, with Danube Properties sponsoring its journey to represent Oman
Indian School Salalah’s Under-14 football team has secured the CBSE Oman Cluster Football Championship title for the second consecutive year, marking a historic achievement in the school’s 40-year sporting legacy. The team will now travel to India to represent Oman at the CBSE National Football Championship, scheduled to take place from 22 to 28 October 2026 at Uma Public School in Greater Noida, Delhi NCR, with Danube Properties, Salalah, sponsoring the team’s journey.
Competing against more than 20 schools, Indian School Salalah’s Under-14 team became the only team in the school’s 40-year history to win consecutive CBSE Oman Cluster titles. The back-to-back victories have secured the team a second opportunity to compete at the national championship in India, building on its previous appearance and further strengthening the school’s sporting legacy.

The team secured its place in the final stages of the Oman Cluster championship with a 4–2 penalty shootout victory over Indian School Muscat following a 1–1 draw in the quarterfinals. It then defeated Indian School Ghubra 2–0 in the semifinals. Adding to the team’s achievement, goalkeeper Master Nazim received the tournament’s Best Goalkeeper award in the Under-14 category.
The upcoming CBSE National Football Championship will bring together more than 75 teams representing 20 CBSE zones and four countries, including Oman, across the Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 categories. The tournament will provide Indian School Salalah’s young players with an opportunity to compete against leading school teams from across India and beyond, while representing Oman on a national platform.
Supporting the team’s journey, Danube Properties is sponsoring its participation in the championship, including travel, logistics and preparation. The sponsorship reflects the organisation’s support for young sporting talent and its commitment to enabling students to pursue opportunities that help them develop their skills and gain experience beyond the classroom.
As the team prepares for the championship in Delhi NCR, it carries the pride of Indian School Salalah and the wider Omani community. Its consecutive cluster championship victories mark a significant milestone for the school, while the upcoming national competition offers another opportunity for its young footballers to demonstrate their ability on a larger stage.
