Omani Bikers Mesmerized by the Beauty of Pakistan and Warm Hospitality of Its People

MUSCAT: A group of nine adventure-loving bikers from the Bausher Bike Riders club recently returned from a breathtaking 12-day motorcycle tour across Pakistan, where they were captivated by the country’s stunning landscapes and the heartfelt hospitality of its people. The team was felicitated on their return by the Pakistan Ambassador to Oman, H.E. Sayed Naveed Ahmed Bokhari, during a warm gathering held at his residence on a pleasant Monday evening.

Led by Issa Al Hassani, the bikers embarked on their journey from Rawalpindi on June 20 and returned to Oman on July 2, covering approximately 2,500 kilometers over seven days of exhilarating rides. Their route took them through Pakistan’s northern cities, countryside villages, mountainous terrains, and the mesmerizing province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“It was an amazing experience, riding bikes outside the GCC region for the first time,” Issa shared. “From the picturesque landscapes to the delicious Pakistani cuisine and the warmth of the local people, every moment was memorable.”

A key figure in organizing the tour was Kashif, a Rawalpindi native who has been residing in Oman for nearly a decade. A passionate biker and active member of the Bausher Bike Riders, Kashif arranged the logistics for the journey through his network of friends in Pakistan.

The initiative was part of the celebrations marking the 54th anniversary of Oman-Pakistan diplomatic relations. The Pakistan Embassy in Oman facilitated the event, finalizing all preparations within 28 days. The mission enabled the Omani team to experience and promote the diverse culture, scenic beauty, and generous spirit of Pakistan.

In a generous gesture of goodwill, a local biker group from Rawalpindi provided their motorcycles—ranging from 150cc to 750cc—for the Omani visitors to use during the tour.

Issa expressed his gratitude and shared his hopes for future collaboration: “We’re looking forward to reciprocating this hospitality by welcoming Pakistani bikers to Oman and introducing them to our own traditions.”

Inspired by the success of the tour, Ambassador Bokhari proposed making the Pakistan biking expedition an annual event. He emphasized that Pakistan offers everything a tourist seeks—from the snow-covered peaks of the north and rich culinary traditions of Punjab, to the cultural vibrance of Karachi and Islamabad.

The evening concluded with a cozy and heartfelt gathering at the Ambassador’s residence, where the bikers enjoyed a spread of authentic Pakistani dishes, capping off what was truly a memorable cultural exchange.
