Al-Shomoukh Nursery held its first graduation ceremony for its pre-schoolers at the nursery premises. The ceremony included a sweets buffet and refreshments. It was a major success as it is the first graduation ceremony for Al-Shomoukh Nursery since it opened its doors for children on January 11th, 2015.
It was hats off to children at Al-Shomoukh Nursery as they left to begin their new journey in a big school. Children wearing tailor-made graduation caps and gowns were treated to a special graduation ceremony, where every child was presented with a certificate as a souvenir of the occasion.
The children performed a short skit of Little Red Riding Hood, and then sang few songs. Certificates were then handed out amid cheerful applause from parents, friends, and teachers.
Meriam Sabra, director of Al-Shomoukh Nursery, said, “It is really sad to say goodbye to our preschoolers but we are so proud of them. Their days in the nursery were full of exploration, creation, laughter, discovery, growth, and fun. A big thank you goes for the hard work, dedication, and nurturing ability of our staff that has equipped children with opportunities to achieve their full potentials for the next milestone in their life.”
Al-Shomoukh Nursery is a place where families feel confident that their children are getting adequate child care to foster the development of the whole child. Its mission statement is to provide opportunities for children to discover and explore in order to lead and become global learners. With its new method and the first in Muscat, the nursery, inspired by the Reggio Emilia’s approach, has a team of highly qualified and motivated professionals who teach the children how to learn and explore instead of what to learn.
The nursery has announced that there are still limited openings for its summer camp (June 17th until July 9th) and its upcoming 2015/2016 Term 1 in September term for children. Call at 24600610/24600886 for more information or to schedule a tour.
