The Radisson Hotel Group in Sultanate of Oman is proudly expanding their Responsible Business activities to host a blood drive during the COVID-19 in partnership with Bank Blood Oman.
Employees from Hormuz Grand Muscat, A Radisson Collection Hotel, Radisson Blu Hotel Muscat, Radisson Blu Hotel Sohar, Park Inn by Radisson Muscat and Park Inn by Radisson Hotel & Residence Duqm took part in blood donation campaign held on 27th December from 9am – 1pm. This activity was conducted as the number of donors has decreased during this year due to the current pandemic and blood components are still needed for a number of purposes. With advancement in health care services the need for blood is ever increasing. Additionally with reference to the convalescent plasma therapy (from people who have recovered from COVID-19), there is still a need of blood plasma donors.
Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the Radisson Hotel group and Bank blood Oman have taken all the necessary measures to protect the donors as well as maintaining social distance between each donor, and determining the number of donorseach time with SGS safety protocol in place.
