SNG - Replacement to Natural Gas.

Natural gas availability and reliability
problems create industrial havoc in
many parts of the world. Synthetic Natural Gas (SNG) is a potential solution to this problem.   LPG-Air or synthetic natural gas (SNG) that is formed by mixing vaporized propane or LPG with air. Once mixed it forms a homogeneous mixture that can be used as a direct replacement for natural gas in combustion applications.
INERSYS has installed and commissioned the first SNG system in the Sultanate of Oman and it is performing very well.  The second project is in the design stage to be installed in a
couple of months. We are negotiating on major projects to distribute SNG
as a network in Industrial Areas. We
also have technical association with
ALGAS-SDI, USA for the entire system
design, engineering and service.

Vapor Absorption Chillers.

INERSYS is very much concerned about the environment and energy conservation;  therefore we always look for technology which will benefit our clients and protect the environment.
We are now working with European
manufacturers of Vapor absorption
chillers and co-generation systems to  introduce products that are suitable to the Oman market by 2010.

With the rapidly changing global energy scenario and an increased focus
on energy conservation and environment preservation, Vapor absorption
technology emerges as the most
viable route. Absorption cooling is
the answer to ever increasing power
costs, worsening power scenario and
increasing emission of CFC pollutants.
Thus more and more users all over the world are shifting over from conventional compression chillers that are driven by electricity.  Vapor absorption  chillers can be driven by Steam, Hot Water or fuels like LPG, Natural Gas etc.  We have technical tie up with a leading manufacturer from Europe and we will be able to offer complete solutions locally in the near future.

What are the new projects coming
up?

We are working with various leading consultants for major township gas projects and Industrial Gas distribution projects in the Sultanate and in UAE. We are also working with a number of SNG projects in the Sultanate as natural gas is still not available to many industries.

As per the Vision 2020, Oman has made active plans to diversify its
economy and is placing emphasis
on other industries apart from oil, such as tourism and LNG. How is this going to benefit Inersys?

INERSYS has expertise in LPG and
Natural gas. As natural gas becomes
available, we still have substantial contribution to the sector in distribution systems, pressure reducing stations, metering stations etc. We also have the expertise in CNG refueling systems for automobile. Townships and commercial sectors where natural gas pipelines cannot be reached easily we propose to offer virtual pipeline systems as well.  We are already proposing the Townships and industries to go for SNG system, so that when natural gas becomes available switching to natural gas will be at ease and the SNG system can remain as standby.

How do you see the real estate market boom as far as Inersys is concerned?

We see a large number of Townships and commercial projects coming up in the near future and we expect to have a good market share in centralized gas systems and we are already diversifying into various other areas like Fire suppression, Energy efficient building technology so on which will be useful for the modern building technology.

Can you please shed some light on the ways Inersys is working towards energy conservation?

Clean Energy is our slogan and Energy Conservation is what we highlight in all our projects. We do optimize all our designs to minimize the use of fuel and maximize the outputs.  We are also working on projects like co-generation and waste energy utilization in many applications where waste energy is untapped. It is our aim to achieve maximum energy conservation in all the projects we execute.
